Strange Karamat of Ibn Taymiyah when some jealous “scholars” negated his fatwa of traveling to visit graves and some even forged the fatwa.

A group of well-known people gathered in Damascus and discussed the matter against the sheikh.

One of them adviced of Expatriation but he himself was Expatriated.

Another said, to cut off his tongue but his own tongue was cut off.

Another adviced to give him tazeer (punishment) but he himself was punished.

And another said he should be imprisoned, so he himself was imprisoned later…

A group of others gathered in Egypt, and in this case they held a great meeting and met with the Sultan, and they unanimously agreed to kill the Sheikh, but the Sultan did not agree with them on that. The Sultan ordered the sheikh to be imprisoned in the Castle of Damascus.

This is what the haters said, then there were those giants who agreed with his fatwa and there were others who said he will still get a thawab even if he is wrong. Not a single known Sunni scholar did his takfeer.
