The belief of Mushrikeen, Rafadis, Sufis and Sunnis regarding the death of Auliyah and pious, and their coming back to this world.
a) The belief of Mushrikeen.
Ibn Hajr a asqalani said:
والصحيح أن اللات غير عمرو بن لحي فقد أخرج الفاكهي من وجه آخر عن بن عباس أن اللات لما مات قال لهم عمرو بن لحي إنه لم يمت ولكنه دخل الصخرة فعبدوها وبنوا عليها بيتا
True is that al-Laat is other than Amr bin Luhy as it is narrated by al Faakihi from Ibn Abbas that when al-Laat died Amr bin Luhy said: He did not die rather he just entered into the stone, then he was worshiped and people made a house (building) over it. [Fath al Bari 8/612]
b) The belief of some Rafidah.
Shaykh al Albani said regarding Jabir ibn Yazeed Ja`fi:
He was a Rafadi, He believed Ali did not die rather he is in clouds and will come back.

Fatawa Alamgeeri says
It is obligatory to say Kafir to Rawafidh(Shias) because they say dead people return to this world.[Fatawa al Hindiya 17/54 and الفتاوى البزازية المطبوعة على هامش الفتاوى الهندية: 6/318]
c) The belief of sufis.
Ilyas Qadri attari said:
My leader Ala Hadrat Imam of Ahlus sunnah Mujaddid of deen and Millat Molana Shah Imam Ahmad Raza Khan aleh Rahma al Rahman mentioned in Fatawa Ridwiya vol 9 page 650
It is mentioned in “Gharaaib” and “Khazanah” that spirits of the Momineen stays in front of the (their) house on the occasions of every Night of the Friday, On Eid, Day of Ashoor, and Night of Bra’at.. And every spirit Call upon in sad voice. O my household, O my children, O my friends do mercy on us by giving charity.”
[25 narrations of the people of graves page no: 10 by Ilyas Qadri attari ameer of Dawat e Islami]d) The belief of sunnis. (Ahlus sunnah).
The hadith states: When a Momin see his good deeds in his graves
He says, ‘O Lord, hasten the Hour so that I may return to my family and my wealth.’ [Narrated by Abu Dawood, 4753; Ahmad, 18063 – this version was narrated by him. Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 1676]
This is a proof that He will not come to this world before the day of judgment.
Musannif Abdul Razzaq hadith no: 6744 states when The Momin sees his place is Jannah, He said “Should I tell this good news to my household? The Angels say “Stay here This is your place (untill day of judgment)” .
Ibn Kathir said
Abu Sakhr said, “Al-Barzakh refers to the graves. They are neither in this world nor the Hereafter, and they will stay there until the Day of Resurrection.'[Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Tafsir of chapter 23 verse 100]
Its mentioned in Fatawa Bazaazia:
قال علماؤنا: من قال أرواح المشايخ حاضرة تعلم يكفر
Our Scholars Say, Whoever say that souls of the mashaaikh are Present and knowing have committed Kufr
It says in “Majma’ al-Anhur” of the Ahnaaf:
وَيَكْفُرُ بِقَوْلِهِ أَرْوَاحُ الْمَشَايِخِ حَاضِرَةٌ , تَعْلَمُ
“And one becomes a kafir with the statement that the souls of the mashaykh are present, and knowing”.
