Sodomy in the name of Mawlid

Save your children from the Ghulat al-Sufiyya (deluded Sufis) those who commit sodomy under the guise of Islam. They claim we are paak saaf, but satan inside.

Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani mentioned an incident from his lifetime:

And in the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal, the plague struck Egypt and increased until it reached three hundred souls per day in Jumada al-Thani. Summer watermelon was sold for fifty (dirhams each), and most of those who died were among the Mamluks in the barracks.

During that time, a great wind and intense dust arose, to the point that it nearly blinded passersby in the streets. This occurred on the morning of the Mawlid that Shaykh Ismail ibn Yusuf al-Inbani used to hold. An uncountable number of people would gather for it, to the extent that on that morning, one hundred and fifty empty wine jugs were found. This is in addition to the corruption that took place that night fornication, sodomy, and open brazenness in committing these acts. It is said that Shaykh Ismail subsequently ordered the cancellation of the Mawlid.

(Inbā’ al-Ghumr bi-Abnā’ al-‘Umr The year 790AH 1/350-351)

Note: Nowadays, Pir Chuff Chuff is famous. His actions resemble those Sufis who used to celebrate Mawlid. This passage also refutes the claim of Ibn al-Jazri that no clarity comes in the month of Mawlid.

Ibn al-Haaj al-Maaliki exposed the Sufis of his era who engaged in sodomy during the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal. Ibn Hajar also exposed similar practices among the Sufis of his time.

Centuries ago,the Maliki scholar Ibn al-Haaj censured sufis who celebrate mawlid and ask young, clean-shaven men to sing. After detailing this practice, he said:

And some of them have said: Sodomy is of three levels:

1. A group that takes pleasure in looking, and this is forbidden. For looking at a beardless youth with desire is forbidden by consensus. In fact, some scholars have affirmed that it is forbidden even without desire.

2. And the second category: those who take pleasure in playful touching, intimate handling, embracing, and other such acts, short of committing the major immoral act (sodomy)…

3. And the third level is the practice of the major immoral act (of sodomy).

al Madkhal 2/8-9 chapter Mawlid un Nabi (peace be upon him)

Then he said:

And one of the Sufis of Syria said: “I looked at a Christian boy with a handsome face, and I stopped to gaze at him. Then Ibn al-Jalā’ al-Dimashqī passed by me, took me by the hand, and I felt ashamed before him. I said, ‘O Abā ʿAbdillāh, glory be to Allah! I was amazed at this beautiful form and this perfect craftsmanship how could it be created for the Fire?’ He squeezed my hand and said, ‘You will surely find its punishment after a while.’ And I was punished for that glance after thirty years.”

And one of the shaykhs narrated to me from Mansūr al-Faqīh, who said: “I saw Abā ʿAbdillāh al-Sukkārī in a dream and asked him, ‘What has Allah done with you?’ He said, ‘He made me stand before Him in sweat until the flesh of my face melted away.’ I asked, ‘And why was that?’ He said, ‘I looked at a boy as he approached and as he departed.'”
al Madkhal 2/9 chapter Mawlid un Nabi (peace be upon him)

He then stated that the path of the true Sufis istheir adherence to the Book of Allah the Most High and the Sunnah of His Messenger peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and their abandonment of playfulness, disputation, argumentation, unnecessary mixing, large crowds, and idle talk. In short, there is difference between evil sufis and true sufis.

Note: What Ibn Hajr al asqalani said about celebrating mawlid is not what the prevalent mawlid is all about. It is an innovation as per him as well.
